Spezify is a multi-media search tool using social web, blogs, videos, microblogs, images & more, to produce results to a query.

It presents results from a large number of web sources in a markedly different visual way, using a mix of images, videos and text boxes.

A query entered in the search box produces an array of search results categorized as: images, text, tweets, video, etc. all displayed as a cluster of visual elements. You click on each visual "element" to learn a bit more and then you can go to the best result.

We found the site to be a bit slow to bring up a large enough number of results for us to find what we really wanted.

But it is a good idea and with the tablet computers ruling the roost, this could well be how we all search in the future!
